Trip to Claridenhütte

We have been in the Clariden region with Christian & Lukas, close to the Klausenpass in Kanton Glarus. The starting point is Urnerboden, where (after some queue) we took a lift to the Fisetenpass. We had a beautiful summer day, escaping the 34 degrees of Zürich city for some hours.

Lukas had its first sandwich at 11:15. Which is quite normal for he had waken up early enough, unlike Barbara...

...who complains a lot about waking up at 7:30 on Sunday. But then the day becomes the happiest as ever when she's around in the mountains!

The trip is initially quite up&down, not very tough. As you progress, you start seeing the true Glarner Alpen. We had fun together, and lot to talk about, since we haven't seen each other so often lately.

The Claridenhütte has a very scenic position, with a view on the whole Glarus valley and the Tödi behind it.

After the Hütte you can reach in about 20 minutes a position with a spectacular view on the Clariden glacier, the Tödi. A lot windy! But without a single cloud. Lukas said it is "fast schön wie im Wallis". "fast", indeed!

This is the panoramic view from there.
